The event I mention at the start for South Asian women in femmes actually starts after Iftar, so not planned as poorly as I originally thought. However, they told me that prayer could not be accommodated in the venue, which is poor form, and they’re also doing another dinner-focused event in Ramadan that is not planned around Iftar - even poorer form. Do better.
The other thing I wanted to mention is the Arab Women Artists Now festival takes place during Ramadan this year (and did last year I believe) and they don’t seem to mention the holy month or incorporate its traditions in the events at all. Very odd IMO.
